Monday: introduction to industry; Volti initial chapter
Tuesday: Volti, more chapters, Klepper reading
Wed: Klier & Rubenstein readings
Outside speaker: Thomas Klier, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago
Dinner: Thursday April 28th, tentatively at Canton in Buena Vista

Week II: Downstream and Product
Outside speaker: David Ruggles, former dealership principle, longstanding consultant on dealership management and auto finance & leasing
Dinner: Thursday May 5, tentatively at ? Chez Smitka

Week III: Detroit

    • leave from W&L parking deck at 8 am. arrive in Detroit ca. 6 PM.
    • dinner at Al Ameer followed by pastries at Shatila (note: Shatila sells online, shipping pastries promptly and well-packaged).
  • Monday 9 May:
    • Monday am: the drive around Detroit
    • Monday pm: Keri Westbrooke, Director, Engineering and Technology, Federal-Mogul Powertrain at their Plymouth Technical Center

    • no morning class. afternoon collection of receipts, brief overview of Vlasic “Once Upon a Car” to prep for Mr. Cosgrove ’66, retired Ford SVP of Strategy
  • Tuesday May 17:
    • am with Mr. Cosgrove, normal class hours / location
    • Tuesday lunch with Mr. Cosgrove in the D-Hall
    • Tuesday afternoon with Mr. Cosgrove, normal class hours & location
    • Tuesday dinner at 5:30 pm in Canton in BV
  • Wednesday May 18:
    • visit to Metalsa factory in Roanoke. meet at 9 am to leave in 3 Enterprise cars for the factory.

    • we eat lunch there and then debrief with Mr. Cosgrove
    • leave around 1 pm to return to Lexington by 2 pm
